SKY BLUE FC Overview

A young team with a lot of chemistry surrounds U.S. WNT veteran Christie Rampone. Managed by WoSo Weekly's 2016 Head Coach of the Year, Christy Holly did a lot with a little last year on the way to a respectable finish few pundits saw coming. Back for his second year, Coach Holly has a lot more talent at his disposal.

2017 nwsl season preview

Like some of the other small clubs in the NWSL, Sky Blue has leaned hard on the NWSL College Draft to build their squad. At the 2016 NWSL College Draft the team did phenomenal, picking up an impact player on every line (Casey, Skroski, Rodriguez, Galton). This year, in a draft much deeper than the year before, Sky Blue appears to have struck gold again. We know they're young, but are they mature enough to take the next step?

Three players made our NWSL Best XI in week nine. Read who, what, where, when and why below.

SKY BLUE DEFENDERS KAYLA MILLS AND MANDY FREEMAN Are AMONGST the SIX ROOKIES TO WATCH THIS NWSL SEASON

The USC defenders are affable, passionate, and really good at soccer. Sky Blue managed to get both players, and it could spell success for a long time.
